Dr. Schmidt found chiropractic the way most of his patients do — he hurt.

Years as a police officer and then a firefighter left him with back and hip pain that wasn’t going anywhere on its own. A coworker finally talked him into seeing a chiropractor. He moved better, trained harder, and felt better than he had in years. Then he changed careers.

He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic at Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, along with B.S. degrees in Anatomy and in Health and Wellness, and is a Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture — though these days he uses electronic acupuncture, no needles required. Chosen for Parker’s first-ever Clinic Abroad program in Bogotá, Colombia, he treated Olympic and elite professional athletes.

His entire focus is gentle, specific adjustments: find the joints that have stopped moving well, restore that motion, and take the irritation off the nervous system so the body can heal and function the way it should. Precise beats forceful, every time.

Since 2008 he’s done exactly that for thousands of Oklahoma City patients — kids, grandparents, desk workers, and weekend athletes alike. He listens, he explains what he’s doing and why, and he won’t sell you care you don’t need.
